  1. How can I tell the word count of a book?

    We’ve included word count as part of the book description. You’ll see word count noted at the bottom of the cover copy on all retailers.

  2. Is there DRM? What does that mean to me as a consumer?

    Carina files do not have DRM (Digital Rights Management). This means consumers can purchase one format to use on multiple devices without worry of limited usage.

  3. What formats can I buy? What if I want different formats?

    Currently Carina Press offers ePub formats for use on all devices.

    Alternately, if you prefer your book to be in another format, you may consider purchasing the ePub format and using free software Calibre to convert your file into further formats via their simple process.

  4. What format should I buy if I have a Nook, Kindle, Sony, iPhone?

    For all devices except Kindle, you are able to use the ePub format. Because our books don’t have DRM on them, you can sideload the ePub file directly to your device.

  5. How do I search by author?

    You can use our Search functionality to search by author name, or you can browse our Author Listing.

  6. My computer crashed and I lost all of my books, can I re-download my purchase?

    Yes. Click to access the My Account section of the site. Once you log in, you can access all of your previous purchases via the My Bookshelf link.

  7. I’m interested in seeing what books are coming soon, where can I find that information?

    Click on the Coming Soon link in the main navigation bar of the site. You’ll see a listing of the next 3 months of publications.

  8. Who should I contact if I have problems with my purchase or download?

    For all purchase and download problems, please email our customer service representatives at customerservice@carinapress.com. Please allow up to 5 business days for a reply.

  9. Who should I contact if I have feedback about a book?

    We are always happy to hear from our readers and general comments about our books can be sent to generalinquiries@carinapress.com.

  10. Will Carina Press books be offered in print?

    We will offer a selection of Carina Press books for purchase in the future.

  11. Where can I buy Carina Press books in audiobook format?

    Carina Press audio books can be purchased at Audible.com, Amazon and iTunes.

  12. What payment methods do you offer?

    We accept Visa and Mastercard.

  13. How does pre-ordering work? (ie, when will I be charged, will I be alerted when the book is available)

    Our books are available for pre-sale about a week or so before the 1st day of their release month. You can purchase them as soon as they are available for pre-sale. You’ll be charged at the time of purchase. Very shortly we’ll be implementing email notification, and when your purchases are available for download, you’ll receive an email notification.

  14. How can I request a review copy?

    Please visit www.netgalley.com if you’re interested in Carina Press review copies. All other review-related requests can be sent to marketing@carinapress.com.
