The day of the phone meeting we had four inches of snow here in the hills of Virginia…enough to knock out my electricity *and* phone lines for several hours:/ (And, yes, in the wilderness that is my backyard, we still use phone lines for internet. ACK. I know it’s crazy, but if you could see my delicious “Survivorman” husband you would know why I don’t complain…much;>) Besides, I always tell people it’s cabin fever that sends my imagination into overdrive. Real cabin fever. Yes, my walls are logs. lol

After taking yours, I’m not sure this one will have anything new to offer. I have applied what I learned from yours to two manuscrips, and boy howdy, I just didn’t realise my mistakes. I’m an RWA member so I’ll check it out. Thanks for the info.

I’m always curious, plus I’ll be doing a query workshop soon. I guess that’s why all my questions are query/submission related. The live meeting call sounds interesting!
In a query do you want to know any of the following: If the writer has 1)read xzy interview with you? 2)follows you on twitter/facebook? 3)Or reads this blog or a your individual blog?

In a submission (query stage) do you want to know this story is/could be part of a series? If so much information would you want to know about the authors thoughts on a possible series? Just that is it a possibility? Or basic series information? Or more detailed information?

Should an author wait to hear back on a submission before sending in a 2nd submission if the second submission is unrelated to the 1st submission? What about if the 2nd submission is a different genre?

I enjoyed the live-meeting too. Although I wish you guys had been on camera because that would have been a hoot Pearson is a nightmare–and I get to take my sweet darlings through it in May. Although, often when I travel with the kids the customs officers often wave us through. Must be their sweet faces

I must have missed the phone conference… My question would be are you signing authors for multiple books or just the submitted ones with options for future titles? Not really a content question but a pressing one all the same =)

Love the Live Meeting phone call. This is the extra-special-edge kind of thing that makes Carina so appealing.

(Yeah, Toronto Airport, not generally a positive experience. I live at about the mid-way point between Pearson and Buffalo on the Canadian side, and I’d fly out of or in to Buffalo ANY day before I’d deal with Pearson)
